Scope

With this privacy policy, users receive information about the type, scope and purpose of the collection and use of their data by the responsible provider collected and used.

The legal framework for data protection is provided by the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG).

Provision of Chargeable Services

In order for us to be able to provide services subject to a charge, we request additional data. This applies, for example, to payment details.

In order to ensure the security of your data during transmission, we work with encryption procedures (such as SSL) over HTTPS, which reflect the current state of technology.

Comment Function

If comments or other contributions on our offer are written and published, we store the IP address, the user name and the time of writing. This data is collected for security reasons, because the provider of illegal content (prohibited propaganda, insults, etc.) can be prosecuted, even if they were created by third parties. In such a case, the information is used to determine the identity of the author.

Integration of Third-party Services and Content

Our offer sometimes includes contents, services and performances of other providers. These include, for example, maps provided by Google Maps, videos from YouTube and graphics and images from other websites. The transmission of the IP address is absolutely necessary so that these data can be called up and displayed in the user’s browser. The providers (hereinafter referred to as “third party providers”) thus perceive the IP address of the respective user.

Even though we make every effort to only use third-party providers who only need the IP address in order to deliver content, we have no influence on whether the IP address may be stored. In this case, this process serves statistical purposes, among others. If we are aware that the IP address is being stored, we will inform our users accordingly.

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will generally be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. However, due to the activation of IP anonymisation on these web pages, your IP address will be shortened by Google in advance within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to and truncated by Google on servers in the United States.

On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services to website operators relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent.

You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and Google from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: Browser Add On for deactivating Google Analytics.

You can find more detailed information on the terms of use and data protection at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/us.html or at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/.

Facebook Social Plug-in

We include plug-ins of the social network Facebook on our websites (address: 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA). You can recognize the plug-ins – you can find an overview here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/Plug-ins/ – by the Like button (I like it) or by the Facebook logo.

If you visit one of our websites with Facebook Plug-in, a direct connection with Facebook will be established. We have no influence on the type and extent of the data collected, stored and processed by Facebook. We can only inform you according to our state of knowledge.

Facebook is informed via the plug-in that you have accessed the corresponding website of our offer. This also applies to users who are not registered with Facebook. In this case, Facebook may store the IP address.

If you are a member of Facebook and logged in, the call of a website with Facebook plug-in can be clearly assigned to your user account on Facebook. In addition, the plug-ins transmit all interactions, for example when you use the Like button or leave a comment.

To prevent Facebook from storing data about you, please log out of Facebook before visiting our websites. You can also block the plug-ins with add-ons for the browser (e.g. “Facebook Blocker”).

Information on data protection regulations, the purpose and scope of data collection and processing as well as setting options to protect privacy on Facebook can be found here: http://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation.php.
